Horizons Unlimited Scuba: Our 2025 Year in Review
What a year it’s been at Horizons Unlimited Scuba! 2025 was filled with both personal and business growth, new adventures, and an incredible amount of support from our dive family. As we look back, we’re proud of what we accomplished together—and excited for what’s ahead.
Growing Our Dive Community
This year, we welcomed new students, new travelers, and new lifelong divers into the Horizons family. From first breaths underwater to advanced certifications, watching confidence grow beneath the surface never gets old.
Travel That Went Beyond the Ordinary
2025 was all about unique dive experiences. From unforgettable trips to Bali to planning once-in-a-lifetime adventures such as Raja Ampat, our travel program continued to focus on small groups, personalized experiences, and dives that stay with you forever. These trips weren’t just vacations—they were memories made with friends who feel like family.
Safety, Skills & Smart Diving
We doubled down on what matters most: safe, confident divers. From skill refreshers to emphasizing tools like GPS locators, 2025 reinforced our commitment to education, preparedness, and continuing diver development—because great dives start with good habits
New Gear & Trusted Favorites
This year brought exciting new products to the shop alongside tried-and-true essentials. Whether it was masks that finally fit just right, eco-friendly products, or must-have safety gear, we stayed focused on offering equipment we truly believe in and personally use.
A Community Built on Trust
More than anything, 2025 reminded us why we do what we do. Your trust, referrals, trip sign-ups, class enrollments, and kind words mean everything to us. Horizons isn’t just a dive shop—it’s a community built on shared passion, personalized service, and a love for the underwater world.
Speaking of our 2025 trips….
Bali – April 2025
Our April adventure to Bali was nothing short of magical. From vibrant coral gardens to iconic muck dives, Bali delivered variety at every turn. Divers experienced everything from playful reef fish to majestic manta rays at Nusa Penida. Between dives, we soaked up Balinese culture—temples, incredible food, and the laid-back island vibe that makes Bali unforgettable. This trip perfectly blended world-class diving with cultural immersion, and it reminded us why Bali remains a bucket-list destination for divers of all experience levels.
Saba – June 2025
June took us to the “Unspoiled Queen of the Caribbean,” and Saba, in the words of our DM, “did not Saba”. The visibility was unpredictable and the currents weren’t our friends. In spite of all of that, we had some great diving, a wonderful tour on St. Kitts, and created memories for all. The toenail bandit struck again and indoctrinated a few new victims as well as perpetrators! We had a slight medical emergency on board and were pleased when all of our divers responded as their training educated them and only served to reinforce our commitment to diving safety. Finally, TR Brixey was named Iron Diver by the crew!
Cozumel – August 2025
Summer in Cozumel brought us exactly what we hoped for: effortless drift diving, crystal-clear water, and nonstop action. Flying over coral walls with the current, spotting turtles, eels, and massive schools of fish—it’s easy to see why Cozumel is a classic. This trip was perfect for divers who love long, relaxed dives with big rewards. Great food, easy logistics, and incredible diving made this a summer highlight for our Horizons crew.
La Paz & Cabo Pulmo – October 2025
Our October expedition to La Paz and Cabo Pulmo was pure adventure. In La Paz, we encountered playful sea lions and a stunning night dive with the mobula rays in the Sea of Cortez—often called the “Aquarium of the World.” Cabo Pulmo delivered jaw-dropping moments with massive schools of fish, whales, and dolphins putting on their show. This trip was a powerful reminder of what conservation can achieve and why Mexico continues to surprise even the most seasoned divers.
Looking Ahead to 2026
We’re heading into the new year with big plans, new destinations, more classes, and even more opportunities to dive together.
Cozumel, Mexico
Drift dives, crystal-clear water, and vibrant reefs make Cozumel a favorite for good reason. This trip is perfect for divers who want easy, beautiful diving paired with relaxed island vibes—and it’s Eagle Ray season!
Raja Ampat, Indonesia
For those dreaming big, Raja Ampat is the crown jewel. Pristine reefs, unmatched biodiversity, and bucket-list diving make this a true once-in-a-lifetime adventure. This is exploration diving at its finest—and one we cannot wait to share with our Horizons travelers.
Utila, Honduras
Utila continues to be one of our most loved destinations. Known for its laid-back atmosphere, lionfish hunting, and the chance to encounter whale sharks, this trip is all about big experiences, small groups, and topside fun. There are currently two rooms available on this trip.
Cuba
Cuba offers something truly special: healthy reefs, minimal diver traffic, and a step back in time above the surface. This liveaboard trip blends incredible diving with rich culture, history, and authentic experiences you won’t find anywhere else during the 3-day optional add on in Havana. It’s a destination that feels both adventurous and meaningful. There is one room available for this trip.
Whether you’re looking for an easy getaway or the ultimate dive expedition, 2026 has something for every diver.

Why We Require Dive & Travel Insurance
At Horizons Unlimited Scuba, your safety and peace of mind are always our top priorities. That’s why dive insurance and travel insurance are requiredfor all of our trips.
🤿 Dive Insurance
Dive insurance is designed specifically for scuba-related incidents. While we never expect problems, diving often happens in remote locations where emergency care, evacuation, or recompression treatment can be costly and complex.
Having dive insurance ensures:
This requirement helps protect you, your dive buddies, and the group as a whole.
✈️ Travel Insurance
Travel insurance protects your investment in the trip itself. Life happens—flights get delayed, illnesses occur, weather changes, and unexpected events can impact travel plans.
Travel insurance can help cover:
🌍 Why It Matters to Us
By requiring both types of insurance, we’re making sure every traveler is properly protected before leaving home. This allows us to focus on what we do best—creating safe, well-organized, and unforgettable dive experiences—while ensuring you have support if the unexpected occurs.
Your safety isn’t optional—and neither is your peace of mind. 💙

The result is stunning, one-of-a-kind jewelry that directly supports reef health while raising awareness about invasive species.

2024 in Review
We want to thank all of you who have supported our small business. It's been a really great year for us. We want to share some highlights of the year and let you know about some things coming up in the new year.
2024 did not disappoint HUSCO and our clients! In February we went to Cozumel and while we had a few days with the port closed, we knew that meant there were some Eagle Rays out there just waiting for us to find them - and boy did we! We were able to dive Eagle Ray Alley and saw a fever of them - about 17 in all. Beautiful creatures. We celebrated all sorts of milestones and Kirsten became a Mermaid instructor!
We returned to Cozumel in June and stayed at Casa Del Mar. We had a great group that consisted of new divers, divers who wanted a refresher course, and some divers who wanted to get their fins wet before our trip to Egypt. The weather was HOT, but the water was warm!
Finally, our big trip of the year, was one week land based in Egypt and one week on a Red Sea Liveaboard. We saw Oceanic White tips who are curious, scary and dangerous - but thrilling at the same time. We got to celebrate birthdays, dive milestones, and made fast friends.
The land based tour started in Cairo where we cruised the Nile, went to Luxor, Alexandria and stopped along the way to explore temples, and other artifacts including the Great Pyramids. We explored the Valley of the Kings, saw Tut, (yes, the mummy of Tut) and the Ramses tomb. Some of us took a hot air balloon flight over the River Nile at sunrise and it was breathtaking. We rode camels (never again) tried amazing food, and met some beautiful Egyptian people.
Once again, we attended DEMA in November. This year it was held in Las Vegas. We visited will all of our upcoming trip locations, booked a new trip to Cozumel for just Kelly and Kirsten to check out a new hotel and dive operator, and found some amazing products including suitcases, torches, Nudiwear, and more. We also spoke with Tova at FishNFins in Palau, about a return visit and then wandered over to Atlantis, Philippines for a liveaboard add on. Look for that trip to post sometime this year.Upcoming Trips 2025 and beyond!
Our Bali trip for March - April is sold out!
La Paz/Cabo Pulmo (October 14- 20, 2025) the Cabo Pulmo option is close to being sold out but has a few more spaces. We will be staying at new places in both LaPaz and Cabo Pulmo so we are excited to see what they have to offer. Check out our website for details, prices, and inclusions.
Saba Liveaboard - June 21-28, 2025. What started out as a small getaway for Kelly and Kirsten has turned into a full blown trip with HUSCO having booked every room but two on this liveaboard - so come grab one of those last two rooms. We have been blessed that the company is honoring our DEMA price of 1975/pp but we aren't sure for how long, so jump quickly. We depart out of St. Kitts and return to St. Maarten so there is the opportunity for some top side fun on either end. Please check out our website for information about Saba, inclusions and exclusions.
Our Raja Ampat trip for February 2026 is sold out!
Cuba (October 17-24, 2026) This is a liveaboard excursion with optional Havana add on. It is a 7 night trip to dive the Jardines de la Reina - one of the most pure ecosystems in the world. Six species of sharks and salt water alligators. The LAB portion is 3999/pp. Refer to our website for details and inclusions.
Fiji - October 2027
Our first stop is a week at Paradise Taveuni - October 16-21, our very favorite resort of all time! The food, culture, and people make the trip worth it!
Next stop is to Koro Sun Resort - October 23-26 for their Hammerhead dives!
The third stop, Nukuboti is currently sold out.
Please refer to our website for information on pricing, inclusions and exclusions. There is too much to put here!
Finally, look for upcoming trips in 2027 for Socorro and 2028 to Palau and Philippines. Still finalizing details!Current Specials
